A striking older building at 536 Massachusetts Avenue is the Odd Fellows building. The building is now the Dance Complex, but "IOOF" still appears above the entrance and in the mosaic tile before the door of the entrance.
It was built in 1884 by the members of IOOF. It had stores on the first floor and facilities for the organization in the upper floors. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The Dance Complex formed specifically to save and reuse the building. It now has six studios and a theatre.
The closest active Odd Fellow Lodges that I found were in Everett, MA, and Dedham, MA.
