This new train station opened for service on May 31, 2008. It brings commuter rail train service to Mukilteo and is intermodal - it also serves the Mukilteo Ferry and the local bus service.

While the station is open for service, it is only partially complete. The plan is to install a northbound platform, shelters and a pedestrian bridge in the near future. The project was designed by AECOM in partnership with HNTB and Rosewater, under contract to Sound Transit and in partnership with the BNSF Railway.
