Main inscription reads:
Robert Burns
"A man's a man for a' that."
There were 4 bronze plaques, sadly now gone. Inscriptions under these plaques reads:
From scene's like these Old Scotia's grandeur springs.
In fair virtue's heavenly road, the cottage leaves the palace far behind.
Pleasures are like poppies spread, you seize the flower its bloom is shed.
The best laid schemes o' mice and men gang aft a-gley.
