The Old Fire Hall

This structure was originally constructed as a market and Town Hall in 1854. The three arches which were later closed each contained double doors opening into the market area. Three of the four windows on the front of the second storey were used to light the counsil chamber. A tower to dry the fire hose and to house a bell was added in 1862.
