This plaque was placed on this building in 1905 by the Owasco Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It serves as a memorial to the soldiers and sailors from Cayuga County who fought in the War for Independence. The Auburn Post Office and Courthouse was retired several years ago, yet still serves the City of Auburn as a government office building.
