Promoted from the Kingsport Convention and Visitors Bureau, Bays Mountain Park (Waymark WM53K4) is "a 3,500-acre nature preserve with 22 miles of hiking and biking trials, a 44-acre reservoir lake, nature center and museum, planetarium and native wildlife habitats. Bays Mountain is the nation's largest municipally-owned park."

There is so much to enjoy that I was able to create a Lucky 7 waymark WM56B1 for many items within 0.1 miles of the reservoir dam. Top draws for the park are the wolves (especially at howling times), otters, and birds of prey plus the Lakeside hiking trail. The $3/car entrance fee is well worth the price. Many families bring a picnic and will spend most of the day enjoying just one section of the park. Bays Mountain also has some of the best geocaching suited for families plus longer hikes to stretch the more experienced.

The coordinates are for the parking lot in front of the nature center.
