"Architects George W. Percy and Frederick F. Hamilton designed this sandstone building in the Richardson Romanesque style to serve as a canteen for children and mothers visiting the Golden Gate Park Children's Quarters.
It was damaged in The Earthquake in 1906 and by fire in 1974, but it was restored to its original appearance after each of these disasters.
Today the building houses the Sharon Art Studio, a community art center offering classes in the fine and applied arts." (
