The Centennial Building, located next to the Millenia Building which is another Philip Johnson design, is elliptical in shape.

The elliptical shape of the Centennial Building along with the orientation provides many of the office tenants with excellent views of Singapore Bay. Although it is only 37 stories, it was deisgned to allow for it to be easily extended another 15 floors which would bring it up to 52 storys.
The facade of the building is made of a granite cladding and the building is topped with a 12 meter high ornamental trelllis.
In 1999, the building won the Singapore Building and Construction Authority's Best Buildable Design Award in the Commercial & Office Buildings category.
