Mainly a utilitarian ferry. Serves as a mid point link between the I-10 bridge in Baton Rouge and the Sunshine Bridge in Donaldsonville (about 30 miles). The State of Louisiana operates this ferry. Ferry . Different ferry vessels operate here as drydocking/repairs are made to the usual boat.
Was a smooth ride. You are allowed on deck.
