This Christmas tree is set up every year in the parking lot of the Sunridge Mall in northeast Calgary. It stands 44 ft high and has over 50,000 lights on it. There are a bunch of presents situated around the bottom. Normally the tree is fenced off for safety and to prevent kids from vandalizing it. They also have piped in Christmas carols playing the whole time it on display.
During the season they have different charity events at the tree where you can drop off food, clothing and presents for the needy. Sometimes they have carolers around to sing Christmas carols for the public.
