Built in 1873 for the Philadelphia/Erie Railroad, the Kane Depot was owned by a string of railroads until purchased by the Kane Depot Preservation Society in 1995.
The Kane Depot is owned and maintained by the Kane Depot Preservation Society. Through donations and volunteer efforts the depot is today in very good condition. The Society annually works to restore/renovate areas of the depot. The most recent renovations include the women's waiting room and the ticket office.
