The disk is mounted in the top of a 25-inch by 25-inch concrete and brick monument that projects 24 inches, in the southeast angle of the intersection of Amboy Avenue (County Route 501) and Coral Street. The disk is located about 40 feet south-southwest of the centerline of Amboy Avenue, about 18 feet south-southwest of wood utility pole number PIE 8022 60051, about 15 feet east-southeast of the centerline of Coral Street, and between the curb and the sidewalk along Coral Street in front of residence 477 Amboy Avenue. The disk is stamped STATION NO. 12187 ELEVATION ______ FEET. To reach from the US Highway 1 exit from Interstate Highway 287 (State Highway 440) in Edison, NJ, go north on US Highway 1 for about 0.7 miles to the exit for Amboy Avenue. Take the exit for Amboy Avenue east (towards Perth Amboy) and go east-southeast for about 0.7 miles to where the NJ Turnpike passes over Amboy Avenue. Continue east-southeast for about 0.05 miles to Coral Street on the right leading south and the disk.
