The plaque reads "Pat lived in New Almaden for most of his life. He came to love it for its history and community spirit. He roamed the hills with his brothers as a kid, then hiked and trained in them as an athlete and a soldier.
Pat was a loved son, brother, husband and faithful friend. He was a voracious reader, inquisitivee scholar, civic volunteer, agressive athlete and a patriotic and selfless soldier."
Tillman died in 2004 in Afghanistan.
The plaque is on a granite slab and was dedicated in September 2007.
