Located at the intersection of routes 5 & 35 in Lynchville, Maine this sign has attracted the attention of tourists for some time. It was once "kidnapped" and found its way to Grand Central Station in New York. Maine abounds in towns having names similar to foreign countries or cities.
Historic significance: One of many similar signposts throughout Maine. I don't know who placed them but assume the local chamber of commerce had something to do with it.
