The Polk’s Nature Discovery Center provides information and discovery opportunities about Polk County’s unique water, wildlife and wilderness resources, as well as the associated cultural heritage and nature-based recreation opportunities on environmental lands in Polk County. The Nature Discovery Center has several amenities including picnic pavilions, wildlife observation viewing platforms, boardwalks and several multi-use trails.

Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
