The mark is a horizontal bronze disk set in stone near the Charles River. To get to the mark, from Boston, travel on Massachusetts Avenue across the Charles River, then take a right onto the entrance ramp to Memorial Drive, then travel approx. .1 mile to the mark on the right. The mark is approx. 3 1/2 feet north of the edge of the stone wall facing the Charles River, 2 1/2 feet north of an iron fence, 1/2 foot south of the concrete sidewalk, and approximately 30 feet south of the edge of Memorial Drive. The mark is embossed with "Mass. Dept. of Public Works" and "Traverse Station" on the outer circle, and "DRIVE 1976" hand embossed near the center. The mark has light scuff marks, but all letters are easily readable and is in good condition. The mark was not found on the NGS database, Geocaching web site, or the MassHighway database.
