Long Description:
This mill has been used to grind wheat, buckwheat, cornmeal, and livestock feed. It was originally built by John McKeehan and James McGowan. In 1849 the Shoaff family purchased the mill and operated it until the 1940's. In 1966 the mill and adjacent property was sold to Pennsylvania DCNR and became a part of the Little Buffalo State Park. The mill is functional and is operated for demonstrations and educational events.
