This new bird hide has both full, glass windows with shutters to view the lakes and the normal, outside, wooden shutters. There is a large information board inside with details on the various birds you can see.
Stanwick Lakes lies in the Nene Valley and is one of the prime sites of Special Scientific Interest for wintering and breeding birds in the area. Over 3000 golden plovers have been present on occasions.
There are several places to park around the lakes and the paths are easy, gravel terrain.
