This stunning garden, one of the finest in California, was constructed in 1965. The large central koi pond is fed by a small stream (recirculating water). The stream appears to originate in the far corner of the garden at this naturalistic waterfall. The falls are set into the trees in a beautiful way.
The garden is inside San Mateo's Central Park. The garden is enclosed by bamboo fencing and is open from 11AM to 5PM weekdays, 11AM to 4PM weekends.
