Hunter Run Tract is the largest section of Cornplanter State Forest. The trails pass through hardwoods, hemlock, and pines. There are a number of tall stands of pine plantations in the trail system.
The trails are not groomed and can be susceptible to wind damage. Without debris and downed trees, the trails are wide and have little root and rock obstructions. There are modest inclines throughout the trails. State Forests are available 24/7.
