60-foot by 13-foot mural painted on 780 tiles. The artist was paid $90,000. A recent assessment valued the mural at $15 million.

From left to right, it displays the evolutionary history of the city of Pitsburgh, with the french & indian wars, the fort at the point of intersection of three rivers, the first industries, coal, glass, steel.
