Nuit Blanche is an annual event that takes place in Toronto. Other cities around the world have their own annual events as well. The original Nuit Blanche is in Paris, France.
Everything begins at sundown, and ends at sunrise. The city is turned into a living art gallery, with hundreds of exhibits across the downtown core. These range from classic art displays in familiar galleries, to massive exhibits encompassing an entire building or block, to performance displays and more. Toronto's creative community puts on a great event that attracted 800,000 people in 2007, and over a million people this year.
It's almost impossible to take everything in, so plan ahead for Nuit Blanche 2009 - (

The posted co-ordinates are for City Hall, since there is always at least one exhibit here. The organizers usually carve the city into three 'zones' and publishes maps for each 'zone'. These zones are usually several kilometers long (and wide) and you can easily spend the night in one area, although if you plan your night you can get around to the other sections as well.
There are information centres that run all night to provide water, restrooms and, of course, event information throughout the night. There is normally a couple per 'zone'.
