The Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad, Inc. Company 9 is one of the oldest fire stations in Prince George's County, Maryland. The Town of Bladensburg itself, has a historic part in our American history. Bladensburg is staffed 100% percent by a strong volunteer membership. It is indeed the busiest 100% volunteer station with an ambulance in Prince George's County. The station houses two pumpers, ladder truck, telesquirt, ECU bus, 2 ambulances and two older pumpers no longer in service. The station in 2004 had 5406 Responses. A couple of historic fires in Bladensburg, the Bladensburg Roller Rink and the infamous Dixie Pig Restaurant & Bar.The station has an active Ladies Auxiliary.
