When traveling on Route 93 from Jim Thorpe toward Hazelton, you will see an abandoned service station near a church in a small town approximately nine miles up. This is Beaver Meadows.
All around the service station, the adjacent pond and house, as well as going into the trees on the opposite side of the street you will begin to see large, rusty scrap sculptures disappearing into the distance. They are beginning to deteriorate, but are highly visible in the autumn and winter when the leaves do not impede the view.
There are scrap dinosaurs drinking from the pond, as well as strange beasts on the house's lawn.
The largest and most notable sculpture we refer to as "The Beast of Beaver Meadows." It is on the right-hand side, across the street and up several feet from the service station. We discovered it while on a delivery route for an auto magazine.
