Taylor Memorial Park was a gift to the Village of Lyons from Myron C. Taylor in 1932. This park contains a small concrete gazebo with built in seating all around.

This village park was dedicated by Myron Taylor to his father, William Taylor, who was born in 1844 and died in 1918. Myron C. Taylor was born in Lyons, New York in 1874 and in his early adult years, practiced law and then ran a group of textile mills in the New England states. In 1932, he succeeded J.P. Morgan Jr. as chairman of the board for U.S. Steel Corp. After meetings in 1937, with John L. Lewis, then sitting president for the Committee for Industrial Organization, Taylor was able to succeed in bargaining with the Steel Workers Committee, coming to an agreement and averting a serious strike. He retired from business in 1938, then serving on several diplomatic committees. He became the personal diplomatic representative for the President to the Vatican from 1939 to 1950, where he retained the rank of ambassador until 1953, serving on several special missions. Myron C. Taylor passed away in 1959.
