This is one of the larger airports in our area. It is on the border of Sarasota and Bradenton, hence the naming convention.

Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport is located in both Sarasota, Florida (terminal) and Bradenton, Florida (airfield). Part of the airfield is in Manatee County and part in Sarasota County. Most airlines refer to the airport on destination maps and flight status displays as just "Sarasota", as that is the larger and more widely known city. The entrance into the main area is on University Pky, just east of U.S. 41 or sometimes referred to as Tamiami Trail.
