Old Kingsport, also known as Boatyard Presbyterian Church, has been worshipping God since May 20, 1820, making us the oldest church in Kingsport. Renovated in 2003, thus in excellent condition.
Benchmark: GA3433 is the spire. Official description is: TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF 11W AND THE 11W BY-PASS, GO NORTHEAST ON 11W BY-PASS FOR 1.6 MILES TO THE CHURCH AND THE STATION ON THE RIGHT. IT IS A WHITE FRAME BUILDING WITH GREEN SHUTTERS AND A LIGHT GRAY ROOF. IT HAS A SPIRE (COVERED WITH WHITE SHINGLES) WITH AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF ABOUT 90 FEET. THE POINT INTERSECTED WAS THE WEATHER VANE ATTACHED TO THE TOP OF THE SPIRE.
