The Orillia Lawn Bowling Club goes back to the early 1900's. In the early day they played on private lawns, such as Dr. Harvies' and Orchad Point Inn. later there were greens on the old YMCA site. For several years they played on a site on Coldwater Street, opposite the Central School. Shortly after WWI the club moved to another site on Colborne Street. Currently the club is located on 5 Commerce Road in Orillia.
