The Kingsport Kmets have played 28 seasons in the area. First at Fred Johnson Stadium at the local Dobbyns-Bennett High School, and now at this Hunter Wright Stadium. The latter is named for a city mayor.

FYI. Former Mets greats Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, and Kevin Mitchell as well as current stars Jose Reyes, David Wright, and AJ Burnett made their professional debut in Kingsport.

Directions from West Stone Drive/Hwy 11E is to turn north on Granby Road at the "baseball complex" sign. The stadium is clearly seen on the left after a bit of half mile.

What surprised me is that there is not a single reference to the Kmets at the park! During the season, banners are displayed around the ballpark.
