This box has been pimped with white sides and an ornate top. It has always been like this and the old photos when the area was alive with residents show the box in the same position and style. Tyneham is a sad place, the people were ordered to leave during World War II so the area could be secured for the MOD, though promised they would return this never happened and today it remains MOD property but open on occasions to visitors.

The telephone box has been preserved in its wartime state together with posters and telephone.
