There are 42 faux wood panels arranged along the wall inside Fisher Pavilion. The panels have images of a branch wrapped with twine sandblasted onto them. They are located indoors, but can be easily seen through the all glass wall when the building in closed. The coords will take you to in front of the building. Be respectful if an event is taking place in the Pavilion.
The panels were designed by Deborah Mersky and installed in 2002. Mersky is a local printmaker and painter who has been created art for more than 20 years. Her pieces are often patterned and botanically based, like this one. She has a number of public works throughout the Seattle area including in the new Seattle Courthouse and at Harborview Medical center. Another work of hers, a mosaic, can be found on the steps down to the pavilion.
While at the Seattle Center be sure to check out all the other public art, as well as the many other waymarks. Don't miss the nearby fountain (and the cache there). You could spend all day here between all the public things to look at and the Science Center. Parking is available all around both on the street and in garages, but can be limited.
