John Newman and Nikolaus Pevsner describe the manor house in their book 'The Buildings of England, Dorset':

'Manor House, north east of the church. It looks all of the c.20, though the RCHM can trace a history of additions (one dated 1698) to a rectangular building of c.1600.'

The house was enlarged in the 17th and 18th centuries and then in 1920. The building consists of rubble stone walls, slate roofs with coped gables and has stone chimney stacks. There is a great view from Mike Searle here visit link
