Built around 1930, this appears as if it used to work, perhaps providing power to a garden fountain display or something else connected with Lincoln's flower bulb business. It may have been merely ornamental at that time, as well as it is now. Decades ago the flower shop became the Buckhart candy store (which recently went out of business) and is currently a coffee shop. Fortunately, none of the building's owners had removed the tower and its wind vanes. It has been recognized as a historic landmark through Santa Cruz's blue plaque program.
