Titled "City Bench", this bench is similar to a regular metal city bench. The main difference is the back, which is an artistic metal cutout depicting a city skyline at night. The tall buildings are framed on either side by evergreen trees, there are two stars over the buildings, and a yellow moon overhead. The bench back is a monotone dark metallic gray, with the exception of the yellow moon.
This piece of art is part of the "Art on the Avenues" series. Every year, the city sets pieces of art by local and NW artists out around the downtown area. Most are for sale, but some are on permanent exhibit. The ones that are for sale will be rotated out every year, and the permanent ones stay. The permanent ones were either purchased by the city, or donated by individuals.
There is a color pamphlet that comes out every year, with photos of the art, prices and a site map of how to find them. The pamphlet is at most pamphlet kiosks, as well as at the The Wenatchee Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau.
