Built in the summer of 1979 by Weldon Epperson for the Brown Realty company. Originally the bear was brown, changed to black and now appears to be white.
He is best observed from 69 Hwy northbound roughly 75ft south of the 133 mile marker from the shoulder of the road. The Bear resides in a private residence back yard next to the fence facing the highway.
