The Veteran's memorial with it eternal flame is dedicated to all veterans by the citizens of the City of Columbus.
The dedication plaque reads as follows:
"In Memorium
May this eternal flame burn forever in memory of those brave and patriotic members of the Armed Forces who sacrificed so much to ensure the freedom of our great nation.
Dedicated by the Citizens of Columbus to all Veterans on May 23, 1991"
