Beason Mill was built by Richard D. Beeson around 1840. The mill still stands today with a sign that reads:

"Beason Mill *Built 1840-1845 As Store and Odd Fellows Lodge *Post Office - 1892-1919."

The sign was erected by the Hilton Lee Family in 2000.

What the mill processed is unknown to me, if anything, and could have been just called a "mill". Please stay on the right of way, this is private property.
