This location is on Fort Henry Drive/Hwy TN36 at the intersection of Warpath Drive/Konnarock Road. It was the first McDonald's in the TriCities opening on 5/22/1962 when 1/10 pound hamburgers were 15 cents, 10 ounce colas were 10 cents, and fries were 12 cents. (Per Vince Staten's 5/18/2011 column in the Kingsport Times-News.)
The store was completely rebuilt right next to the prior building in the early 2000s. The small outdoor Playland was removed in 2009 and replaced with half dozen tables on a brick patio. TV was removed from the corner. Free AT&T wi-fi connection now available.
The drive-thru can be backed up to the street during peak morning and lunch times. Inside has enough tables of different sizes.
Standard corporate menu. My recent favorite has been a bacon ranch salad and a small drink.
