Though no member ship is required, the rates are lower for members. In addition, you must have a state park sticker, or pay state park entry to use the facility.

A daily ($6 for MI resident) or annual ($24 for MI resident) Michigan State Park motor vehicle permit is required.
Memberships are now available to reduce shooter costs. Fees are $125 for individuals or $200 for a family. Members enjoy reduced rates at Island Lake shooting clinics and workshops and also have the opportunity to purchase punch cards, further reducing their shooting costs.
