This part of Bramble Bush Bay is the north stretch of Gravel Point. It is a truly beautiful area overlooking Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island.
The sheltered shoreline of the Bay provides a haven for boats sailing inside the confines of Poole Harbour. As opposed to Studland Beach - Shell Bay where it is exposed to the open sea weather conditions and the strong currents. The tide and deep water channel make Studland side a little more dangerous.
In the heathland behind Bramble Bush Bay there is a variety of wildlife, from Herring Gulls to Snakes. The beach is a popular place for fishing, especially at Jerry' Point at the southern end and there it is popular for catching crabs. The secluded golden sand of the beach is ideal for picnics and bird watching.
Nearby is an excellent seafood retaurant and a local sailing club operates from here. Car Parking and toilets are quite close adjacent to Ferry Road.
