Studland Bay looks out into the sea as the tide turns at the entrance to Poole Harbour. The top end is Shell Bay and the opposite beach area on the Point is Bramble Bush Bay. It can get very busy, especially when the sun comes out and nearby the chain ferry operates. The beach is clean, flat and fine sand, seaweed can be a problem in the late summer months.

At Jerry's Point, round the corner it is a good spot for flatties, including plaice. There are also many crabs around here.

Parking is available in the nearby National Trust car park or along Ferry Road.

Rag worm on a two hook flapper should catch you some fish. Slow retrieve with a baited spoon.
