This vertical Granite memorial with bronze plaque is but one of many memorials located in the Veterans plaza.

The inscription on this memorial speaks to the history of the war and the cost in terms of lives lost and those who remain missing.


There are also Spanish - American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, and Gulf War memorials within the plaza. There is also a Purple Heart memorial. The Veterans Plaza is located in the Northeast corner of Lincoln Park at the intersection of 35th and 16th.
