The plaque rests on a two foot rock in Powning Park. The park, a small green space in downtown Reno, is the sight of many memorials.

The plaque reads: "Dedicated to the memory of those brave Americans from Washoe County who died in the service of their country, World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

My their eternal souls rest in peace and they shall be enshrined in the hearts of their fellow country men forever."
