This is the second school at this site. The Red School was constructed on this site in 1734 and in use until it burned in 1873. In 1873 the current structure was built to replace the old school. It was know as the Red-White School. The building was in constant use until 1929. Between 1929 and 1939 it was used occasionally for school activities. The school served other community activities until it was acquired by the Woodstock Historical Society in 1969. The building stands at its original location.
