This sign marks the population of Zimmerman, Ontario. The sign is bolted to a telephone pole on Appleby Line. The twist with this sign, however, is that it refers to the population of this village - as of 1854. There is no "modern" population sign as the village is now part of the City of Burlington (which has it's own population sign farther north on Appleby Line)
