The Fountain Plaza is always a hotspot during the summer months, but due to the extreme drought situation, the fountain is not operating to conserve water.

One of the pleasures of the park is its interactive water fountain, donated by the Zimmerli Foundation. The fountain provides hours of splashing fun for Spartanburg's youth on warm, sunny days. The fountain operates from dawn to dusk. Children are encouraged to splash around in the fountains but be sure to obey the rules of the park.
