190 S LaSalle is a post modern building and was completed in 1987. It pays homage to the nearby Daniel Burnham Rookery building by the use of granite in the base the same color (pink) as those used in the Rookery. At the top of the building is a gabled roof that pays homage to Burnham Masonic Temple (a 1892 gabled skyscraper which was a Chicago icon).
The 55 ft high lobby is styled after a catherial with red and white marble and a gold leafed vaulted ceiling. The lobby has huge iron chandeliers and a large bronze sculpture in the north end of the lobby.
Architect: Philip Johnson
