One of two cathedrals in the Episcopal Diocese of Nebraska. St. Marks Pro-Cathedral was designed by architect Ralph Adams Cram, a nationally known architect of collegiate and ecclesiastical buildings, often in the gothic style, as shown in this Cathedral's style. The plans were drawn in 1919 and the cornerstone was laid in 1921, however due to funding the Cathedral was not completed for a decade. The Cathedral is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
