This old cemetery is located behind what used to be the Lock Berlin United Methodist Church. After many years of low attendance at this church, it became a church badly in need of repair. However, in recent years, there was renewed interest in the old church and a new fellowship was started that has taken time to repair the church back to usable condition. It is now called the Fellowship of Faith Church. The cemetery behind the church dates back to the early 1800's with most of the stones dating before 1900. There have been a few new graves added here in recent years, according to the caretaker of the church, as interest in the church grew, so did interest in the cemetery. The caretaker of the church just happened to be there when I stopped here and was very nice. He allowed my daughter and I to go inside the church to see what it looked like and then gave us a walking tour of the cemetery to point out some of the local "heroes" that are buried here. The founder of the Village of Lock Berlin, Solomon Ford, is buried here, along with a Revolutionary War Veteran, Charles Steuerwald, which is also a zinc headstone. There are approx. 200 graves in this cemetery.
