Nose Creek Park covers a large area in the center of Airdrie. It was named for Nose Creek which meanders thru the center of the park. The centerpiece of the park is the pond with a fountain in the middle and a viewing platform on one side. There are paved walkways that run throughout the park and cross the creek in several places.
For the kids there are 2 play areas with all manner of toys slides, swings and other play apparatus. There is a large picnic shelter with numerous tables for those who like to have a meal while enjoying the sights.
The walkway around the pond is adorned on the southeast side by 5 decorated totem poles. While the south and east sides are nicely manicured much of the north and west side of the park has been left in its original state with wild grass and flowers abounding.
The park is home to the Airdrie Festival of Lights each year around Christmas time. At this time a display with over $300,000 worth of lights and decoration is setup and on display. It has been presented in the park since 1996.
